He has been a head coach for the past 19 years after leaving Michigan State University football. Dwayne Stephens has always been open and honest in his coaching approach. Dwayne Stephens was recently named the Western Michigan men’s basketball coach. From 1997 to 1999, he was the coach at Oakland University, where he led his squad to numerous victories. Basketball instruction was supplied by Coach Tom Izzo.
